Tengine is a fork of Nginx maintained by Alibaba. Many developers wonder the real difference for production reverse proxy.

Core connection differences

• Tengine supports dynamic upstream reconfiguration without full restart. Original Nginx needs reload to update upstream nodes.
• Tengine has improved connection pool for backend keepalive connections.
• Tengine provides more built-in monitoring metrics for client and upstream connections.
